Update: rescinded as of 9/25/24 


To: Residents and businesses of the City of Bonifay residing on Chance Rd.

Today September 23, 2024, At approximately 9am, Contractors will be working on Chance Rd. there will be a brief interruption of service. 

Therefore, as a precaution on this day September 23, 2024, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water could be used. This is only a precautionary measure being taken until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe. The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.
