UPDATE: The precautionary boil water notice issued to the location above is hereby rescinded. Following thorough testing and analysis, we can confirm that the water supply meets all safety standards and is safe for consumption and use. Residents may resume normal usage of tap water without the need for boiling.

To: Residents and businesses of the City of Bonifay residing on Depot St. from Hwy 90 to Folmar.
Saturday, December 14, 2024, beginning at approximately 8:00AM, city crews and contractors will be working on Depot St. and the water will be off 4-6 Hours.
Therefore, as a precaution on this day December 14, 2024, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water could be used. This is only a precautionary measure being taken until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe. The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.
This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.
