*The Downtown Economic Revitalization Task Force will handle the original plans of DERC to seek ways to alter, repair, demolish or build in the selected area of Bonifay from Highway 90 to First Baptist Church on Highway 79 that will provide economic growth for Downtown Bonifay. Due to the work that the City is doing with FEMA and FDOT to rebuild the water drainage from Stewart Street to Camp Branch the Task Force may be limited on some work between Highway 90 to the Railroad Tracks but only on a limited basis since the Task Force will be working with FDOT on the Economic Revitalization. The Task Force will be comprised of: Mike Alvis, Travis Cook, Charles Flowers, Harry Bell and Beverly Gilley with Russ Cole as the Legal Consultant.


**City Beautification Committee will handle the more immediate needs of the City that will attract people to stop in Bonifay or have favorable comments to say about the appearance of Bonifay while passing. The ideal is for the Committee to help make Bonifay attractive where people will want to stop and spend time and money rather than just a place to drive through to the beach. The Committee will look for grant to assist in Beautification projects such as flowers, flower pots, benches, sidewalks and other items that will improve the appearance of Bonifay. The Committee will work will business owners to help improve the appearance of their business fronts. The Committee will work to assure that any flower or plant that is planted in cared for. The Committee will use the New City Cleanup Ordinance to help Bonifay look great and be safer. (New Ordinance will be in effect over the next 30 days). The Committee will work with the Code Enforcement Officer of the Bonifay Police Department. The Committee will work from City Limits to City Limits but concentrate on Downtown areas of Bonifay. The Committee will be comprised of: Rebecca Prince, Beverly Gilley, Tyler Everett, Jeffery Johnson and Angela Hathaway.
