02.14.24 UPDATE- RECINDED - 02.08.2024 Precautionary Boil Water Notice

To: Residents and businesses of the city of Bonifay living in the area of 600, 700 and 800 Block of East Michigan Ave. and 300 Block of E. Indiana Ave.

 Today February 8, 2024, New water main connection

Therefore, as a precaution on this day February 8, 2024 we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. This is only a precautionary measure being done until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe.  The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.
