PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE

June 5th, 2025

To: Residents and businesses residing on Son in Law, from 870 to 975.Yoopon Ln, Cypress Ln, Pineview Dr, and Sweet Gum Dr.

The contractors working in the area replaced a 6” water main valve resulting in a temporary loss of water services. Due to the brief interruption of water services, we are issuing a precautionary boil water notice and testing water samples to ensure water quality is maintained.

As a precaution, we recommend bringing water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, etc. Discard any ice made from tap water. As an alternative, bottled water could be used. Take extra precautions for children, elderly individuals, and those with compromised immune systems.

This is only a precautionary measure being taken until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe. The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.

This notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.
