To: residents and businesses of the City of Bonifay residing on Depot St. from Hwy 90 to Folmar St.

Saturday September 21, 2024,  beginning at approximately 8am, City crew and contractors will be working on Depot St. and the water will be off for approximately 4-6 Hours.

Therefore, as a precaution on this day September 21, 2024, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water could be used. This is only a precautionary measure being taken until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe.  The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.
