PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE

July 2, 2024

To: Residents and businesses of the city of Bonifay living in the area of Sand Path Rd. from Mckinnon Ave to Henry Grey Rd. Including Holmes Co. High School, Decon Rd. Panhandle Ln., Comet Ln., Barefield Ln., Maple Ln. and Henry Grey Rd

Today July 2, 2024, Crews are working to repair a broken water main.

Therefore, as a precaution on this day July 2, 2024, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. This is only a precautionary measure being done until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe.  The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.

If you have any questions, you may contact the City of Bonifay Public Works Department at 850-258-2514 or CityHall [at] CityOfBonifay.com (CityHall[at]CityOfBonifay[dot]com)
