PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE
July 23, 2026
To: Residents and businesses residing on Mcgee st., Jenkins Ave, Depot st. and McKinley Circle
The City Crew is working on a water main resulting in a temporary loss of water
service. Due to the interruption of water services, we are issuing a precautionary boil water
notice and testing water samples to ensure water quality is maintained.
As a precaution, we recommend bringing water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, etc. Discard any ice made from tap water. As an alternative, bottled water could be used. Take extra precautions for children, elderly individuals, and those with compromised immune systems.
This is only a precautionary measure being taken until we can positively assure our customers that the water is safe. The City of Bonifay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will be making every effort to return your water service to normal operation as soon as possible.
This notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will update all notification places once the notice is lifted.
